Describe a picture and Wave makes a new one. To change a photo you already have, attach it in the message box and choose “Edit it” (shown only when the server has image editing set up).
Anything you save here gets sent along with your messages while memory is on, so Wave can use it. Nothing is added unless you add it, and it all stays in this browser.
Saved on your device only: your chats, chat titles, chosen personality and mode, Wave’s Memory notes and conversation summaries live in this browser’s local storage. Clearing browser data or using “Clear all local data” deletes them.
Sent to AI services: messages you send, relevant recent chat context and memory notes while memory is on are sent through Wave’s Cloudflare backend to the configured AI provider. Groq is used first for ordinary chat when configured; Gemini can be used as a backup. Uploaded images are sent to Gemini for image understanding. In long chats, older messages may be sent for summarisation. Wave does not keep a server-side chat database in this version. The providers process requests under their own service terms.
Images: attached photos are resized in your browser and sent through Wave’s backend to Gemini for image understanding when Gemini vision is configured. Image creation and editing use Cloudflare Workers AI when its credentials are configured; the optional Gemini image model can be used instead when Cloudflare is not configured. Image prompts and any reference photo used for editing are sent to the selected image provider. Full-size uploaded photos and generated or edited image outputs are not saved in the chat history; only a small preview of an uploaded photo is kept. Download generated or edited images before refreshing the page.
Analytics: optional and off by default; when enabled it counts visits only, never prompts or chats.
